To turn System Restore off on your computer, you must log on to Windows XP as an Administrator and follow the steps below
Step 1. Click Start button on the screen and right-click on My Computer and then click Properties.
Step 2. When the System Properties dialog box open, click the System Restore tab.
Step 3. Click to select the Turn off System Restore check box. Or, click to select the Turn off System Restore on all drives check box as shown in the fig. below..
Step 4 . Click OK.
Step 5 . After you click ok you will receive the following message, click Yes to confirm that you want to turn off System Restore.
Note:-
If you chosen turn off System Restore, all existing restore points that was previously created will be deleted, and you will not be able to track or undo changes to your computer.
